The 2018 Yamaha YZF-R3 brings authentic R-series styling and responsive sport-bike performance to a lightweight, approachable platform. Its relatively low 780 mm seat height, narrow midsection and light overall proportions make stops, parking-lot manoeuvres and urban traffic easier to manage, while the full fairing adds wind protection for highway travel.

The riding position blends sport-bike control with everyday comfort. Clip-on-style handlebars, rear-set foot controls and a sculpted fuel tank create a purposeful cockpit, but the ergonomics remain less extreme than those of a dedicated supersport. Dual headlights, aerodynamic bodywork and sharp R-series graphics give the R3 a strong visual connection to Yamaha’s larger YZF models.
